Chimera:  Not willing to be smugly shown up by a creature that swims in a pool of his own pee, Chimera decides to show off some of his own skills.

The new temporary teams made, their missions set and their tactics began, the plot is about to thicken…

LW runs over to Chimera and Baker and grabs each of them by the belt. With 1 under each arm he swings back and chucks both of them toward the sky and the rocketship rushing through the sky not too far from them. As they fly across the sky, the bullet like objects fired from the ship toward the mansion wizz by them. Each hero, using the power of their flight, to narrowly avoid being bowled over by the devices heading in the other direction at breakneck speed. As they fly with all their might toward the ship, they get their just before they run out of effort. Each reaches out and grabs for a piece of the ship they can hold onto. At that moment, Chimera knocks on the steel wall of the ship and shouts over to Baker through the face of his spacesuit, “Now what, Fish brain?!”

“What? You can’t punch through Steel? Ha. Why would one such as I team up with such a weakling? I’ll tear through this wall. You be ready for whatever is waiting for us on the other side. Got it?!” Yells Baker, the Strategist of the Oceans, back at his new partner.

Meanwhile…

Lone Wolf and Dr. Dementia look up at the sky and see that their teammates have made it past the incoming attack, but now, that attack is bearing in on them. As LW Grows to 30 feet tall in anticipation (I guess we’re assuming that his space suit can grow with him, for some reason), Dr. D starts waving his arms around as if doing a vogue dance. Suddenly, a window to another dimension opens, and a scruffy looking skinny guy steps through, cane in hand. “What the hell do you two idiots want? Why would you bother me with this rather than simply deal with it?”

And at that exact moment, the four bullets land in the atrium near our heroes. It turns out the 4 bullets were serving as pods. They all open to reveal Doombots within. 4 Doombots, each as evil as the last. Each hellbent on killing everything nearby!! Prepare for a fight!

“Who?” shouts Lone Wolf as he gentily jumps back over the fence dividing. “Are you working with someone?! I thought you were a loner! I thought you didn’t need anyone!”

“BAH! I may not need anyone’s help, but I never look a gift seahorse in the mouth. He promised that if I brought his device here, turned it on and had it make contact with your building, then I would instantly have Ms. Heigl as my wife and queen for the rest of eternity. I would no longer have to fight you fools. She would simply be mine.”

“Looks like you got duped, old man!” says Dr. D while briefly poking his head out from behind Rocky.

“I am never duped! I shall still defeat all three of you if I must.” He shouts from midair, raising his fists as he gently lands on the edge of the diving board to look briefly at his fallen compadres. A small tear falls from his eyes, into the water below. “I shall avenge thee, friends. You have fought with great honor!”

“You have to be kidding, weirdo. First, I carry you to the desert, then you think you can just wander up and magically whisk our friend away to the deep of the ocean. That would never work. We defeated you before and we’ll do it again!”

“You’ve defeated nothing!” shouts Baker. At that exact moment, the ground below them starts to shake. Lone Wolf grabs the fense, trying to hold on for safety. Invisible in his room, Chimera grabs hold of a nearby doorknob to steady himself. Instead of steadying himself, Dr. Dementia is too fixated on the device that Baker threw. It’s no longer leaning on it’s side on the ground. It has jolted itself upright and the lights on both end have grown signficantly brighter. The device seems to be expanding and digging into the concrete upon which it’s laying. The device is what is making the building shake.

Then without any additional warning, the building, the concrete beneath and a swatch of land approximately 100 yards in diameter eject from the ground heading straight up to the sky at incredible speed.

“What have you done?!” Shouts LW at Baker.

“All I wanted to do was have Katherine for my own! I should have known better than to trust that two-bit double crosser, Internet Carshaft! Everyone knows better than to deal with you!” says baker over the shaking and rumbling of the building taking off from the ground. Chimera thinks of joining the conversation, only to realize that The Lakelanders themselves have been duped by Internet Carshaft into working with him in the previous issue.

“Well, I do have a set of space suits inside the building, we could jump inside those?” suggests Dr. D.

“Why do you have space suits?” Asks LW to which Dr. Dementia replies with the boy scout salute. Rocky, liking his boss, gives the salute as well.

At this rate, there’s not much time, at most 2 page before The Lakelanders, Baker, the mansion, the pool and the ground around them is ejected from Earth’s atmosphere and sent into outerspace! There are quite a few options for our heroes… they’ll just have to use their “hyper intelligence” to get out of this one…

Lone Wolf: Although the prospect of taking a cheap shot at Baker is alluring to Lone Wolf, he decides to conserve his energy, and ultimately preserve his life. He runs into the mansion and puts on the largest space suit he can find.

He can breathe under the sea, but that doesnt mean that he can breath wihtout air. He knows at this point that he’s got to get on the good side of the Lakelanders, if its only for now. The robot follows the orders precisely. “hmmm, Maybe, they don’t comprehend the direness of their situation. Maybe… I should make them comprehend it!” He says as he flicks two switches to his left and turns two knobs to his left. The ship starts whirring and something seems to be firing up. Doombots are replicas of Internet Carshaft. They look, sound and act just like him. They can’t come up with plans on their own and they can’t lead other doombots, but if programed correctly by IC, they should be able to conduct the same activities as him. “Of course, I will join with your team (temporarily), as you have asked with such honor and grace, good sir.” says Baker to Chimera as he reaches for a spacesuit and starts to pull it over his scaley body. He’s can feel the air getting thin up here and he knows the team will have to wrok quickly to defeat the evil Internet Carshaft. Chimera’s Diplomacy has worked

“HEY! Before you do anything, jerk, you’re going to tell me what you know!” yells LW as he grabs Baker by the scruff.

“I have no time for arguments! I will tell you what I know, but you must not interrupt me again, you vile beast.” LW’s Interrogation has worked “The device I brought with me is called The Rebounder. It works like a giant magnet and once it’s activated, there’s essentially nothing you can do on this end to get it to let go of what it’s latched on to. IC’s got a staff-sized device which has a button at the end. When he presses that button the two devices pull toward one another with incredible force. I’m guessing he’s got the other end of the rebounder up on that ship. We need to get on that ship and take him out!”

“Now for my plan! Its clear that we need to get over to that ship in order to destroy the Rebounder. It is my belief that we need to send 2 of us up to IC’s ship to attack. He will not be expecting us, and will likely not even know we’re there…”

“How are we going to get there!” shouts LW at his enemy turned friend.

Baker takes a deep breath to relax himself, not being used to being interrupted. “Clearly, the good Dr cannot reach the ship, so that leaves the other 3 of us. You, pretty boy, can fly as well as I can, but at the speed of his ship, I don’t think we could make it there without a boost. You, tubby. You’ll have to throw us at the ship.”

“Good king Baker,” Interjected Dr. D politely, after seeing how poorly he took the last interruption, Dr. Dementia’s Concentration has worked“I think there might be a slight flaw in your plans. I’ve been looking closely at IC’s ship since we took off from the ground and I think that IC has dire intentions for us. His ship seems to be preparing to fire at us. Now, if I know anything about interplanetary spacecraft, It appears as though what he is going to fire is not a gun or weapon, but a low accelleration weapon. This type of weapon doesnt send bullets or rockets, but items. Things you’d intend to land where they are fired. In other words, hes not firing upon us, he’s intending on sending something to us”

“Thank you for the interjection, crippled one. We could attempt to intercept those devices, whatever they may be, but in the interest of time and protecting us from getting too far outside of our atmosphere, I suggest we continue with my course of action. You two staying behind should prepare yourself for a battle. It doesn’t look like the evil one is going to make this easy on us. Lakelanders, do you agree to this plan of attack?”

Meanwhile, IC’s ship has ran its course of manipulation and has began it’s firing methods. 4 shots are taken, headed toward the Mansion. They look like enormous bullets, but thanks to Dr. D’s concentration, the team knows that they are not bullets, but, more likely, bad guys to fight or traps.

So… here’s the situation…
You have 2 pages to before you leave earth’s atmosphere. Mind you, with the space suits on, you’re probably not too worried about being in outerspace temporarily. If you destroy the Rebounder in that time, the Mansion will fall back to earth (which I’m not sure is actually the best idea, but whatever). What you’re not sure of is how long it will take Internet Carshaft to complete his dastardly plot once he’s gotten you out into space. Your choice now is to follow Baker’s plan (have LW throw Chimera and Baker at the ship, thus increasing their flying speeds) or come up with a different one before the next page begins.

During his long walk back, he does manage to realize the strategy of divide and conquer might work best in this situation.  He’ll have to wait until he gets back to find out what is going on though.

Alone, he opts not to use any stones for defense.  Tired, he opts not to waste any more energy rushing back.

Baker, infuriated by the attempt to keep him from his efforts and his team, flies back into the fray as fast as he can. When he gets back to the area of the mansion, he reaches down into his speedo, which he wears everywhere he goes, and pulls out a phallic shaped device. The metallic device has a red blinking light on both sides of it and is about the size of a football. He rears back and chucks it with what he thinks is perfect aim at the recently opened window of the upstairs window.

Chimera:  Despite having only one foe at the moment, Chimera has many options to consider.  Will he gain from invisibility, or is his lofty position enough of an advantage?  What happened in he desert with LW?  Should he wait and see who comes back?

After he weighs the outcomes of each move in his head, he decides to step in for Dr. D.

“What is the sound of half a claw pinching, jackass!?”  he exclaims as he fires the gun.

Lone Wolf wanders toward the mansion, disappointed that his plan did not work to perfection. He manages to get within a few hundred yards of the mansion before his panel is over. He’s tired, but has definitely gotten close enough to be back in the action on the next panel (which is important to note for what is going to happen on at the end of the page)…

Baker, contrarily, zooms back to the mansion. He pulls the football from his short short trousers and launches it toward the building. Thing is… Baker has no ranged combat skills, so his throw, which he is throwing while traveling extremely fast himself, is not quite accurate enough to go through the window. It hits the outside wall and falls seemingly harmless to the side of the building bouncing off a lawn chair and rolling toward the edge of the pool.

Dr. Dementia attempts to retreat from any upcoming attacks and ups his defenses. But at the same time, he knows he needs to finish the job of heating up that pool to cool the two monsters nearby. He starts his effort toward heating the pool and realizes that it is boiling much sooner than he expected. Don’t want to boil all the water off before he can use it to cook some lobster, so he decides to keep those extra stones for himself! only 1 more stone needed to bring pool to boil. 2 stones moved to magical barrier

Chimera from his perch in the window that Baker just tried to throw a football sized penis through, prepares the sites on his sniper rifle. He aims for the pincher and tries to end the attack of the opponent before he is able to instill more damage upon Dr. Dementia.

Lobster Broham is sure that his attack will work this time again. He lunges forward to make an attack but the Rock Monster tries to get in the way and block the attack. The defensive maneuver moved Lobster out of position and his pincher attack is no longer able to fully be effective. It glances across Rocky’s chest and

After successfully taking the pincher right on the chest, Rocky wanders over, grabs a giant rock from the ground and chucks it over at Lobster Broham. “Whoops! I forgot to defend myself” Into the boiling water he goes and out of the heroes life he goes forever.

Lone Wolf grabs the rubber tarp that Dr. D uses to keep bugs out of the pool (because he is afterall afraid of bugs, big and small), and proceeds to wrap up the relatively small Baker, King of the Sea.

Taking his cue from Baker, and knowing the plan that they Baker had set forth to him before they had arrived on the scene, Electric Eel Man moves his attention. He remembers the instructions that Baker revealed told him when they were back in the underwater kingdom: “Remember, when Dr. Dementia brings an additional combatant to the field, turn your attention to the Doctor. The plan I worked out with my ‘partner in crime’ is that we should create as much havoc as possible and disable the brains of their operation.” Electric Eel Man knows what he must do. He lunges forward and prepares to attack Dr. D with his patented SHAKE ATTACK.

Also knowing the instructions given to him before leaving the ocean for this scummy gross desert Mansion, Lobster Broham knows what is expected of him. Dr. D has to go down. That’s the only way to cause enough havoc in this well oiled machine of a team to disorient them. A Giant lobster claw pincher slam should do the trick.

Acting quickly, Lone Wolf grabs up the tarp from the side of the pool, quickly rolls it out and wraps it around Baker. He grabs him, runs him into the middle of the desert as fast and efficiently as he can. When he gets there, he looks back at the lights of the mansion and guesses that they made it nearly 2 miles away in the matter of a moment. He bends over at the waist, pants a little, and notices that Baker has taken flight, but ever so slightly too late.

With his amazing speed of flight, Baker is able to fly halfway back to the mansion in the matter of a single moment. He isn’t able to help his teammates as he had hoped, and his ability to fight is hampered by being a mile away from the fight, but he’s closer than Lone Wolf is…

Meanwhile back at da mansion….

Dr. Dementia, careful as always, attempts to defend himself from the incoming attacks from the monsters by his pool. The first attack comes from Electric Eel Man. The Hoverround protects him from a significant portion of the blow, while the magical barrier protects him from a significant additional portion, but there is one tiny part of the attack that he can’t stop… the Electrocution.

As the shake attack takes hold, and the electric eel narrowly injures Dr. D, suddenly a bullet slips through the left arm and into the slimy ribs of the Electric Eel man. From the upstairs window of the mansion, Chimera fist pumps the sky knowing his attack works well, especially from a distance.

Lone Wolf:  “No way, no how.  Not in my house,” Lone Wolf screams, clearly pissed that he is missing his long awaited chance of a secluded swim.

Learning from his latest battles, the hero has quickly learned that one element that has helped him to be so successful has been his brute strength, rather than any other tools he developed in the cold Russian tundra.

2 stones into growth – Lone Wolf, at 40′ tall, towers over the seemingly miniature foes, flexes his expanded body.  Ever since he discovered this mutant power, he needs to reacclimate himself to his new skin.

4 stones into close combat – attack – Lone Wolf attempts to kick the soft body of the electric eel man.  With any luck or force, the kick will lift the squishy enemy over the fence around the pool.  This is designed to keep the electric dude away from water, but also his slimey hands might not be able to work the gate.

We are incredibly powerful and you should know better than to mess with the King!” Baker decides it’s time for him to get into the fight. He can’t miss his opportunity to prove to the humans in front of him that he is not a power to be messed with. So, with that, he decides to attack the newest member of the team first, knowing that he can get to him before he is able to escape…

Electric Eel Man:
With his leader preparing him well, the slimy Electric Eel Man prepares to fight, knowing who his target is supposed to be. He heads to the other side of the pool to attack the strong good looking one. The celebrity and levelheaded one. Chimera! The team knew that he would easily be the most elusive opponent, so they decided to attack him, before he was able to escape via flight or invisibility. The attack is strong, but uncoordinated. Add to the punch his automatic electrocution of anyone that touches him and this is a very strong attack.

Chimera:  2 stones into flight – Never one to prefer a one on fight, Chimera flies up to the roof of the mansion.

“Hey Dr. D., I can see your house from up here!” Chimera clearly amused himself by stating the obvious, that he is in fact on top of Dr. Dementia’s house.

Chimera then disappears into an elevated window, fetching a high-powered rifle from the armory.

Lobster Broham:
The lobster man has a different tactic given to him by the fearless sea leader. He intends to take care of some business, but not against Chimera. Knowing that Chimera is likely too fast for him to be able to catch up with, Baker has told Lobster to go after one of the slow ones. Baker’s plan, knowing the weaknesses and strengths of his opponents, does not involve attacking the good doctor. No. Not yet… Instead, he knows that for now, Lone Wolf’s strength is far too formidable to leave to roam free. An attack is definitely in order.

Upon growing to a 40 ft tall being and stretching out his muscles to prepare for the incoming battle, LW runs forth to attempt to punt the Electric Eel man completely out of the fight. Before EE can realize what is happening, he has a size 100 boot caving in his chest cavity. At the exact moment that the overwhelming kick hits the Electric Eel Man’s chest, his innate super-power kicks back, sending a small electrical shock all the way up LW’s foot to the top of his head.

Baker, while shouting orders to the other monsters, runs straight across the water over to where Chimera is standing and proceeds to unleash a ridiculous jump roundhouse kick, connecting with Chimera’s jaw. The kick has such power that Chimera flips through the air from the sheer force of the attack, landing on his back, yards away.

Placing the ever important magical barrier around himself, Dr. Dementia swings his arms from side to side, up and down, around in circles, and suddenly, a wild looking portal appears and an old friend comes stepping through, excited to be back in business. “Rocky Arbuckle here, sir. At your service”

Electric Eel man is next to attack and, thanks to Baker’s expert planning, his attack hits home brilliantly. He runs up to Chimera, picks him up over his head and shakes him violently, using his amazing SHAKE ATTACK! In so doing, the electric attack occurs and Chimera is singed to a crisp.

Chimera shakes off this double attack and shaking his head to get the cobwebs out. He stands back to his feet and knowing that he can’t stand still any longer, he’s gotta get outta there. Chimera flies to an upstairs window and dives full force into the window, breaking the glass everywhere and entering the room just outside of his hidden armory in Dr. D’s mansion.

Meanwhile, back by the pool, there is still attacking going on. Lobster Broham has an attack all ready to go. His opponent has grown far too large to attack normally, so LB goes after the most effective point on the body he can reach. He swings around behind Lone Wolf and takes a big giant pinch of his Achilles’ heel. “OWWWWWW! That really really hurt!” yelps LW as he hops on one foot.

The team narrowly escapes Internet Carshaft’s Tower of Doom, but they know, they’ll have to deal with that villain once again, soon enough. They head to Midway Airport and charter a private jet for the trip home to Vegas. While on the flight, the team catalogs everything that they learned about the villain and the Tower of Doom that they were in ever so briefly.

The plane touches down and the team, thanks to the french masseuse Dr. D hired to take the flight with them, feels fully refreshed and ready to relax poolside for a bit, waiting patiently for the next Super Villain to take a swipe at them. Luckily enough, they don’t have to wait long.

When the team returns to the mansion, Lone Wolf heads straight for the pool, while the others head to various rooms to unpack. There, by the pool, lounging with two odd looking monsters is an old opponent of The Lakelanders. “Why Hello, infidel!!”

“Oh great” says Lone Wolf sarcastically, “not this guy again.” The team rush to the platform to see Baker: King of the Seas floating easily above the pool. Next to him are two hideous creatures that the team has never seen before. One is some sort of Human-Eel Hybrid, with the arms and legs of a man and the head of an eel. When the Lakelanders walk into the room, the Eel brightens with tiny bolts of lightening up and down it’s arms. On the other side of Baker is an even more frightening being. Some sort of giant grotesque lobster man stands there. Standing there at nearly 9 feet tall, the lobster man has the legs of a man, but the massive muscle-y arms with razor sharp lobster claws at the end.

“What are you doing here Baker!? What do you want from us!?” Yells Chimera, entering the patio with Dr. D in tow.

“I’m here to kill you and take Katherine Heigl with me to be the Queen of my mysterious ocean kingdom! We are in love and you three know it as well as anyone!”

“You must be kidding, the two of you have never met!” yells Dr. D, hoping that Katherine would not be wooed by their opponents good looks. “She’ll never go with you”

“We shall see, shan’t we?”

Primary Mission 1: Avoid Defeat at the hands of Baker and his cronies in the initial fight of this issue.

Primary Mission 2: ??????

“Bwa-ha-ha! You think you can get away so easily? You think I control only this room. This is my Tower of Doom! You shall never escape with your lives!” says IC as he makes the final tweeks of his device. he presses the middle button and suddenly the tables are turned. The Lakelanders and friends look to the hall where the elevator is and now the distant wall has turned from a simple dead end to horrible spikes! And they seem to be closing in blocking the entire hall way!!! If the team doesn’t watch out, this hallway is going to turn into a giant meat grinder, with them as the hamburger! “Looks like we don’t have a ton of options. Head to the balcony doors!!” yells Katherine to the team…

Lone Wolf:  Lone Wolf walks up to the edge of the window, and knowing that the danger behind him is greater than the fall, he takes off his shirt and wraps it around his fist.

Seeing the open window, the Dr encourages Ghandi to head out the window. Noticing their female friend’s lack of jumping and flying ability, the Dementia grabs her and throws her over his lap. “Get us out that window Lil!”

“I do not care for that man over there! I would like to see us leave him behind indeed!” says our Indian friend. He continues to carry Dr. D and now Katherine and scampters toward the window and outdoors and freedom.

With the Walls crashing in on them Lone Wolf runs over to the window and looks down. It looks like the team is only a few floors off the ground, an easy jump for him and an easy flight for the rest of them. The really weird thing is that the building they are in is surrounded by a giant moat, which is especially odd since they are in the middle of a city (the city being Chicago, btw). A moat the size of a city street surrounds the building, making LW’s jump a little hairy. He breaks the glass and takes the leap, gracefully diving into the waters below.

Suddenly some gators come swimming toward him, with a giant gator hiding behind them only now noticing him in the waters. He punches one gator in the face, reverse elbows another, swims to the far bank and escapes the moat before the giant gator can get close enough to reveal his plans for our hero. He shakes off the water and begins to run away from Internet Carshaft’s Tower of Doom.

At the same time Dr. D and Chimera are attempting to escape through safer flight-based methods. The good doctor grabs the female of the group, puts her on his lap and scurries down the hall trying to escape the incoming attack from IC. He sees that IC is reving up for a super punch of his former teammate. He throws a little ice on the ground. Internet comes barreling forward, wreckless abandon, with his metal laden fist clinched and cocked. Suddenly, he slips on the ice and his punch barrels forward out of control. The fist barrels through the magical barrier and the shield of tranquility, but Dr. D is able to avoid the hit. He slips out of the way only to be hit across the face with the fist as IC clumsily tries to get his balance back. A lucky strike, but a powerful one, nonetheless.

After taking the attack like a champ, Dr. D flies away thanks to slow moving Lil Gandhi. “This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, man!” he says as he, Katherine, and Gandhi slowly and tranquilly fly away.

Chimera flips a few bullets back at Internet Carshaft before taking off and heading back to the Lakelanders mansion. The bullets fly back through the room and hit their mark brilliantly, but Internet’s power armor is too thick for the expertly placed bullets to penetrate this time. The power armor makes the bullets glance off and IC continues to go about his business. Chimera, upset that his attack failed, flies out the window, following the rest of his team.

Goodbeard, forgotten by the rest of the good guys tries to fend for himself. He jumps out the window and cannonballs into the moat that Lone Wolf just left. He, however, is not lucky enough to avoid the gators. They bite him many times and the Giant gator wanders over and eats him whole!!! I guess thats the end of good old goodbeard… (?)

The team flies off as IC looks on from the window the team escaped through. “I’ll get you! In time… I’ll get you!!”

IC really wants to press that button. It would really bring this entire trap together in the way a terrifying villain would always want. Defeating The Lakelanders and not having to throw a punch! The world would kneel at his feet and kiss the ground he walked on and he would have his ultimate revenge! But first, he’s got to get that button working again. Knowing that The Lakelanders intend for him never to be able to use the device, he decides to defend it, rather than himself. While he works to fix the burned circuits, he places his body in between the device and the Lakelanders and prepares for the blunt of an attack…

He might be from the distant past and he might have essentially no powers and the team might be more than willing to leave him behind due to his complete uselessness, but Goodbeard also knows how to team up on the destruction of a door. He turns and puts another shot into the same door the Lakelanders are attacking. He shoots his sawed off shotgun into the door, hoping the destructive force will be enough to enable an escape.

Lone Wolf hauls off and roundhouse kicks the door that has been slightly broken. The upper corner of the door is nearly completely folded back. It’s clear that the door is on it’s last legs. Just as this happens, Chimera artfully spins a few bullets past his partner and directly into the lock holding the door closed. With the increased pressure of the kick and a expert shot the door suddenly goes flying off it’s hinges. Goodbeard swings his shotgun around and fires now aimlessly. Since the door is missing, his shot has nothing to hit but the other heroes. He manages to miss, but the close and irresponsible shot made for a little anger coming out of the Heroes eyes.

The door takes 10 damage and is BROKEN!

Dr. D quickly generates another fireball and intends to wreck the crap out of Internet Carshaft’s little device, but he is not quick enough. IC quickly turns and places his body between the device and Dr. D’s attack. The fireball hits IC directly in the back and actually creates some damage. This is important to note. Internet Carshaft’s Doom Gear should have given him automatic protection from the fireball, but for some reason, this did not come into play in this particular instance. Two of IC’s defense is used to protect his device, but he still has enough defenses up to protect himself from a full blown hit.

Wait! That’s interesting too! His durability is 5, and he has max energy of 15, but his health is only 3 at max? Something else weird is going on here! No Power armor defense and less than normal health? how odd!

With the door now open, the team streams out into the hallway before IC can use his now fully operational device…
